Korto Momolu’s ( @kortomomolu ) collection arose such emotion in all who viewed her spring/summer 2012 collection. She undoubtedly had in mind the confident, demure woman that many designers aimed to dress this season. The way in which each garment laid upon the silhouette of each woman down the runway was artistic. This collection was feminine, elegant yet wearable such that I could imagine myself  in each look. The project runway alum nailed what her peers attempted this season, dressing a woman with ease using draping and free flowing garments. Her garments were movable but, still had enough structure to fit the form of her model. You could clearly detect the designer’s evolution. This collection was a culmination of the elegance that was the overarching theme from her project runway days, the hints of draping techniques you viewed in her spring 2011 collection, and the confidence she displayed while thanking the patrons of her spring/summer 2012 presentation.
